If you’re spending the summer in Tuscaloosa and want to help area high-school students get a jump start on their Advanced Placement courses, CollegeFirst is for you!

CollegeFirst provides college students the opportunity to implement a Pre-AP summer academic enrichment program for high school students in the Tuscaloosa area.  As a CollegeFirst mentor, you will spend four days (May 28 – May 31, 2019, 8:00am – 12:00pm each day) learning how to be a pre-AP mentor in biology, calculus, chemistry, computer science, or English. The following three weeks (June 3 – 20, 2019, 7:45am – 12:15pm each day) will be spent mentoring and tutoring high school students who plan to take an AP course in the upcoming school year.  UA students may be eligible to receive course credit for UH 300 with a writing (W) designation and New College (upon request). Demonstrated ability in your preferred subject area is a prerequisite to selection.
